Early Childhood through Eighth Grade in the heart of Silicon Valley

Welcome from Director of Advancement

Thank you for visiting our website and exploring our philanthropy pages. As one of the leading independent schools on the Peninsula, Woodland strives to provide students with a strong academic foundation and to instill in them a strong sense of value and purpose in an ever-changing world. Our commitment to “developing the good student and the good person in each child” is at the heart of our fundraising program.

Since tuition alone does not cover the full cost of a Woodland education, we look to our community to help advance the mission of the school. Woodland is grateful to the current and past parents, alumni, faculty, staff, grandparents and friends who invest in our students’ futures with their generous gifts of time, talent and financial resources.

Our fundraising program supports faculty salaries and professional development, tuition assistance, technology, facilities and an educational program where community service, athletics, art and music are deeply embedded in learning. Funds raised through the Annual Fund, spring gala and special initiatives enable Woodland to be a school reflecting a rich mix of cultures and ensure socio-economic diversity.

There are three official fundraising campaigns throughout the year:

Annual Fund

We start each Fall with our Annual Fund drive which supports operational needs. If you can only support one campaign this year, please make it the Annual Fund.

Spring Gala

Each Spring we have our Annual Gala which supports faculty professional development.

Special Projects

This year, we are rolling out the next phase of our capital campaign and will be asking families to make a major gift payable over 1-2 years to support our long-term campus improvement needs. Stay tuned!

A robust philanthropy program ensures that Woodland students continue to receive the skills, attention and encouragement they need to reach their full potential from inspirational, energetic teachers who care deeply about your children.

"Donors don’t give to institutions. They invest in ideas and people in whom they believe."
