Why Invest in Woodland School

What it means to give at Woodland

Philanthropy is the lifeblood of Woodland School. Woodland offers exceptional programs, a passionate faculty and unparalleled educational experiences for our students. Our ability to fulfill our mission and educate our students to meet the challenges of their time relies on the generosity of the Woodland community.

The gifts of time, resources, and talents by parents, alumnae, grandparents, and friends truly support the excellence we strive for at Woodland every day. When you contribute, you help to ensure Woodland continues to deliver on its promise of excellence for your students and for generations to come.

Three ways Woodland raises funds

Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is the school’s most critical fundraising effort. We rely on the Annual Fund to fund 7% of the operating budget every year. Like most independent schools, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of a Woodland education. Critical funds provided by the Annual Fund allow Woodland to keep tuition costs low, reach more families, maintain its small class size. If you have to choose one area to support any given year, we suggest supporting the Annual Fund.

Spring Gala and Auction

The Auction and Gala is an annual community event that brings our community together to help raise funds specifically for faculty professional development and classroom improvements. Together, we support our teachers in fully engaging in their professional growth so they may continue to serve our students with continued purpose and passion.

Capital Initiatives

Capital initiatives fund specific and larger projects, such as new construction or major renovation. We are currently assessing our immediate and long-term needs.
