As a sustained revenue source designed to grow over time, an endowment augments our financial model making a Woodland education more accessible and sustainable for all families. In the competitive landscape of independent education, the highest expense—and the most important investment—is our faculty. Endowed funds provide a long-term strategy to attract and retain the best educators by supporting compensation that is increasingly competitive with our peer schools.

• Annual Fund - Goal $4 million: Providing operating support to fund the full scope of a Woodland education for every student, every year.
• Inaugural Woodland Endowment - Goal $3 million: A permanent investment fund to strengthen Woodland's competitiveness among peer schools and deepen support for educators who help our students thrive.
• Gala & Auction - Goal $1 million: Funding for yearly priorities that go beyond what the Annual Fund makes possible, including facilities improvements and faculty support initiatives like BASIS (Bonuses, Awards, Strategic Initiatives, and Stipends) that bridge the gap until the endowment fully delivers its intended impact. In 2026, all Gala & Auction proceeds will support Woodland’s inaugural endowment.

• Sustain or increase your Annual Fund gift.
• Make a special gift at the Gala & Auction next spring, where the Fund A Need is dedicated entirely to Woodland’s inaugural endowment.
• Make a multi-year pledge (3-5 years), a popular option that allows families to commit to a larger total gift over time, making a significant impact while spreading payments out annually. Pledges can be customized to include contributions to the Annual Fund, the endowment, or both, and families are recognized for the full value of their pledge commitment. • Honor your child’s commencement by contributing to the 8th Grade Class Gift, a special opportunity for graduating families to unite and collectively express gratitude for the "Wildcat experience" and the strong foundation provided for high school—while also leaving a lasting legacy in the name of your child’s class. Watch for further Class Gift information next spring.

• Campaign Honor Rolls: All gifts and pledge commitments made during the campaign counting period (July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2026) to the Annual Fund, Fund A Need, Woodland Endowment, and special initiatives, will be included in the recognition honor rolls for the Enduring Excellence Campaign.
• Endowment Fund Stewardship: Donors making endowed commitments of $25,000 or more will receive annual Endowment Reports. These reports will provide an overview of Woodland’s endowment's investment strategy and performance, along with examples of the impact of endowment distributions each year.
• Lifetime Giving to Woodland School: Families with cumulative lifetime giving (since joining the Woodland community) of $100,000 or more are recognized through membership in a distinguished leadership lifetime giving society. Donors will be celebrated at two distinct leadership levels: cumulative giving of $100,000+ and cumulative giving of $500,000+. At the campaign’s conclusion (and every two years thereafter), the family names of these leadership donors will be featured in honor rolls installed in a prominent location on Woodland’s campus.
