In this Edition of Connections...

In this edition of Connections, we witness the many ways Woodland students are taking initiative--whether that be in their own learning and its various forms, in their after school activities, or in creating change in the world. Read on to explore more...

The Time is Now

When I was growing up, you went to grammar school, then high school, then college—each a step leading to a future where you would do something to become successful and eventually make a difference…maybe by the time you were 30 (or 40?).

But here at Woodland, we have challenged our students to make a difference now, regardless of their ages—we see in them the power to be change agents and positive problem solvers already. Whether it is on campus or out in the greater world, they are doing this in small and big ways--and people are noticing. Actions are being taken, wheels are set in motion, and our kids are making a difference now. Whether it is through our Future Problem Solvers, our Capstone students, our Third Graders, there are so many examples of our students making tangible differences for positive change happening right now.

Thankfully, our wonderfully bright and creative students aren't waiting to make a difference--they are taking action now to make our world a better place. In the next few weeks we hope you will consider joining them as some of these projects culminate, and you can share in their successes as we wrap up this year at Woodland.
