Secondary School Counseling
Our graduates are collaborative, creative, and confident learners, and prepared to succeed in the high school of their choice.
Woodland offers a robust Secondary School Counseling program which guides our 8th grade students through the high school application process. Through weekly classes, one-on-one counseling sessions, and the option to take high school entrance exams at Woodland, our students are supported through this important transition of their adolescent years. In addition, each family is counseled throughout their 8th grade year in identifying high schools that align with each individual student's academic, social, and extracurricular goals.
We are proud to share that 86% of our students are accepted into their first or second choice high school. Woodland graduates are well prepared for a variety of academic learning environments with approximately 75% choosing to attend private and independent high schools, and 25% electing to choose a local public high school.
