Woodland's entries into the Splat “Room in a Cube Challenge” earn the Emerging Talent Award!
Woodland's third grade students have much to be proud of and to celebrate. In Innovation class, third grade students are learning to design in 3D. To practice their 3D drawing, students were tasked with designing and furnishing a room for any purpose they could imagine. Many of Woodland's third grade students submitted their drawings to the international Splat “Room in a Cube Challenge.” Splat is a company founded by two educators in Australia. Their Splat tool is a 3D printed tool that helps students learn now to draw in 3D.
Hard work and determination resulted in creative and well executed drawings from our third grade students. Splat awarded two prizes among the many entries they received and Woodland earned the Emerging Talent Award. The third grade classes will share $100 in maker supplies. Congratulations, third grade students! Below are a few of their designs, as well as a group photo of the students who submitted their work to the contest.
